ANSYS is a general purpose software, used to simulate interactions of all disciplines of physics, structural, vibration, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and electromagnetic for engineers. So ANSYS, which enables to simulate tests or working conditions, enables to test in virtual environment before manufacturing prototypes of products. Furthermore, determining and improving weak points, computing life and foreseeing probable problems are possible by 3D simulations in virtual environment.   • ANSYS is a user friendly virtual-prototyping and measured simulation framework. It offers an environment to perform structural, thermal, and electromagnetic analysis. John Swanson developed Ansys initially in 1970. Later in 1993, he sold his interest in the company to venture capitalists. Ansys means Analysis Systems. Earlier Ansys software was used to design products and semiconductors. Also, it creates simulations that test a product's durability, temperature distribution, fluid movements, and electromagnetic properties. Since its generation, Ansys is focused on Engineering Simulation. Ansys is evolving to meet the needs of the application.

  • Ansys is a collection of different workbenches such as modelling, Structural, thermal, fluids Electromagnetics, etc. Hence Ansys is popularly known as Ansys workbench. To describe in short, Ansys focus on Geometry creation and, attaching existing geometry, setting up the finite element model, solving, and reviewing results. Fast and accurate analysis of flexible and rigid bodies and precise results of evaluation of physical events through the analysis of the mechanical system as a whole are possible with Ansys.Ansys works on the principle of Finite Element Analysis. Separating product into smaller components (Discretization) applies analysis parameters such as Constraints, Force, Torque, Pressure, etc..

  • Structural analysis is the phenomenon to determine the effects of force and loads on physical structures and their components. Structures subject falls in this category to withstand loads such as bridges, buildings, soil, vehicles, furniture, strata, attire, prostheses, and biological tissue. Structural analysis applies theories and principles from applied mechanics, mathematics and materials science to calculate a structure's deviation, internal forces, stresses, accelerations, stability & support reactions. The results obtained of the analysis are used to determine a structure's fitness for purpose, with or without the help of physical tests. Hence structural analysis is the key part of engineering design
